Never trust a forecast

Non fidatevi delle previsioni. Ok, e' vero, le previsioni a breve termine sono particolarmente affidabili ma anche se date un'occhiata a quelle regionali sono sempre basate su un'area troppo ampia per occuparsi dei microclimi locali. E cosi' stamani aveva smesso di piovere, e sapevo che in serata sarebbe migliorato; per questo ho preso il giacchetto sbagliato e sempre per questo sono arrivato fradicio in ufficio... Fortunatamente la pioggia non era poi cosi' intensa, e' bastato dare un'asciugata alle cromature appena arrivato e parcheggiare la Vespa al coperto, sotto un portico. Questa abitudine di pulire le cromature ogni volta che si arriva e' un'azione breve, semplice ed efficace, e soprattutto evita di ricorrere a un disincrostante come il Sidol ogni volta che la ruggine o altri ossidi tentano di salire in superficie.
Tengo sempre nella cassetta anteriore un panno di cotone per questa funzione e per altri usi occasionali e cosi' come altri tre o quattro oggetti si rivela un'ottima scelta.

Never trust a forecast. Ok, it's true, short-term forecasts are particularly reliable but even if you look to regional ones, they are always based on a too large area to consider local microclimates. And so this morning rain had stopped, and I knew that in the evening the weather would have been better, so I took the wrong jacket and that's why I entered the office completely drenched... Luckily the rain was not so intense, I just had to wipe the chrome as soon as I arrived and to park my Vespa under under an arcade. This habit of cleaning the chrome every time you arrive is a short, simple and effective action, and above all it avoids resorting to a cleaner like Sidol whenever rust or other oxides try to rise on the surface.
I always keep a cotton cloth in the glove box for this reason and for other occasional tasks and just like another three or four items it's an excellent choice.
