I don't happen to ride much my Vespa, lately, as I can't carry Olivia upon it. Days ago, though, I had to ride for work and to enjoy the ride I finally decided to stop for a coffee in a bar along SS1 Aurelia. Now, noone would ever expect to find anything special looking at the sign: half wrecked and promising rare and precious goods as charge cards and spices to cure pork (I wonder who buys them at the bar but above all why did they find so primary writing it on the sign). Outside there's the usual group of old folks playing cards.
Then I enter the bar, an a whole world unfolds in front of me.

Merita.
In a warm and dimmer atmosphere a long and shiny bar shows itself off; behind it there's a huge and heavily equipped shelf you'll only find at Ritz's Hemingway Bar. So, within an excellent spiked coffee, the discover of some absurd sardinian cigarettes and some chat with a customer, an ex carabiniere who had a son-in-law on service in Elba island I spent the best ten minutes of the day. It's set: every coffee stop along SS1 will be at Silvietta's.
And if you happen to ride around Querceta, listen to me: stop there.
It's definitely worth a stop.
